Second Grade is when it all began. Basketball has been in my life since I was seven-years old. I first began with Recreation, and started to see early success and the love I had for the game. Two years later in the fourth grade I started my first year of Competition. I was on the "Rebels" at this time and we saw the major difference between Rec. and Comp. right as we began. But, even though the pressure and intensity rose, my love for it became more strong as well. I started to see success as the years passed and as more years passed, I became a new team member of the "Roy Royals." This is when basketball started to become fun, intense, and real. My first couple games with this team were rough, but as I became more comfortable our success grew rapidly. We saw our potential, and started playing in AAU tournaments against the best in the state. Still, we continued succeeding and becoming better. I remember one particular game a couple years ago, against the Bingham Miners. This team had not lost a single game in over three years. But that would soon change. As the final minute approached we were down by one, and my adrenaline began to build. Coach drew up a play, that we executed perfectly. I made the game winning shot, and I then realized this is what I wanted to do in my life for as long as I could. Sadly, two years passed, and I was moved again to the "Blue Devils" where I am currently still playing. Basketball has been a major part of my life, that I will always work at to become better. It's been fun, but it is just getting started.
